As from the map, there are many small island situated near Krabi. They are the Koh Phi Phi Don, Koh Phi Phi Le, Koh Lanta and many many many more.. Since we went to Krabi on the end September, low peak season, i am amaze that there are not many tourist around.. Quite quiet and peaceful area. If you are looking for relaxation with no busy cars and high rise, Krabi will be a best choice you will find.
There are many zones in Krabi that you can live in and we choose Ao Nang and we stayed in Ao Nang Paradise Resort thru out our vacation.
( Day 1 )
We touch Krabi Airport on the 27 Sep 07, 10 plus at night. Bought tickets for a cab to our hotel at 600 bhatt. After changing into my pyjamas, fall flat in bed. The room is quite small but still acceptable for 1,300 bhatt a night. Around SGD60.
My room..
( Day 2)
Of cos, the hotel accomodations includes breakfast. So after washup, we met at the eating area called, Bird of Paradise. Indeed, Bird of the Paradise, think only for birds.. Its so small there.. Only 7 small tables and the food is just basis breakfast. But what do i expect from 1,300 bhatt..
The breakfast buffet Area..
The eating area, " BIRD OF PARADISE"
After eating our bf, we ask the reception to prepare for us motorbikes. It's so cheap.. 200 Bhatt to rent for 1 whole day!! We started refilling our tank at a near by Kiosk.. See their Kiosk.. You won't see these in Singapore...
The lady refilling our bikes with gasoline..
The gasoline, " petrol"
We paired up and started exploring Ao Nang.. Below are some pictures of Ao Nang.. Some pictures are quite blur as i took them on the bike...
There are many cliff in the area.. You can see it everywhere..
The road in Ao Nang...
There are many rubber trees in Krabi
Look at this.. Its beautiful..
The locals are quite scattered in the place.. Their house can be found anywhere..
We travel on and found this King Cobra Show..
We paid 100 bhatt each to take a look at the so called " farm".
The show stage of the snakes..
This is where the trainers live..
Their living stardard are very low and rely a lot on tourisim in Krabi.. They are very nice and friendly people.. Sometimes i feel ashame thinking of my last trip to BKK trying to bargain for a lower price where the price is already low compared to the stuff in Singapore.. So people out there.. They are people less fortuante than us, just bless them if we can and stop bargaining.. They are trying to live a life there too..
The trainer have to cut one of his finger due to an accident in the show. He got bitten by a cobra... So poor thing.. He allow me to take a shot of his fingers..
The Viper, a very fast moving snake..
The Cobra, a very poisonous snake.. Country Of Orgin: Phuket.. Haha.. Even Snake also have COO..
The Python, big snake.. there are 2 in it...
The King cobra, also a very poisonous snake..
I forgot what snake is this..
The Mangrove snake.. Not Mango snake...
The Greensnake..
A close up shot of the greensnake..
The trainers monkey.. We spotted it upon leaving the farm.. Its so so cute.. Like a small kid..
We stopped at a nearby beach before going for a massage.. The massage is cheap at 200 bhatt for 60 mins.. Worth it.. We got ourselves massage almost everyday..
We rested a while in the hotel and continued to our next distination, their famous, " Tiger Cave".. We got ourselves a map of that place and continued our journey..The weather so hot.. Luckily i got my sunblock lotion on.. We past in between two cliffs and the temperature drops immediately.. Like entering into a air-condition room.. Amazing...
We went thru these cliffs.. Free Air condition...
They have shops selling these kind of shether which is widely used in Krabi..
Cows are common to be seen along the road..
There are even people living under this kind of Cliff..
I love this picture..
Can you feel youself riding on a bike now?
After a long ride, we finally reached our distination..
Wat Tham Seua (Tiger Cave Temple), Krabi
Its a very big temple with very high cliff and steps were built for people to climb.. Its so many times higher than Bt Timah hill..Its has over 1200 steps to the top.. We gave up half way thru..
Some of he steps were so steep that we need to used two hands to cling onto the handle to climb in case we may roll down..
Many monkeys were spotted everywhere..
Look at this Mother Monkey nursing its young..
The view while climbing half way thru... cool...
Magnificent view...
After that we head back our hotel and... KAOZ...We lost our way in Ao Nang.. Going in and out of Ao Nang missing the turns and back to Krabi Town and so on.. We travel for almost more than 40km on the road before we could reach the hotel.. Sit until my butt also pain..
But we felt relieve after reaching our hotel.. Rested for a while before going for dinner.. Pass by Macdonalds and guess what i saw??!! I say Macdonald's status with the Sawadika hand sign instead of the ones we saw in Singapore..
The food in Mac are not as nice as in Singapore..
Their fried chicken is not as crispy and juicy..
They sell harshbrown thru out the day but its extremely oily..
They sell Samurai Pork burger and their Mac flurry comes in 4 different favours. Banana crunch, love you Berry Much ( Berries), Oreo and one more i forgot.. Think its mixed fruits or so...
Had these for dinner at one of the roadside restaurant.. They are all good cooks.. We could find nice and affordable food everywhere.. They have many vege in their food.. Every dish you order are accompanied by lots of vege.. May it be dry, soup, noodles or rice...
Seafood Tom Yam
Stir Fried Prawn..
