love of God and love of man..

Lately,.someone from my past contacted me.. someone whom has brought me good and bad memories.. but the thought of this person that kept me vivid about is the empty promise given to me uncountable times.. in life, one really cannot rely. On humans too much.. because it will lead to many disappointment.. The more trust u put in, the more disappointment u get at the end of the day.. How can one balance the love of God and the love of man?
